The thermostat operates on the principle of thermal expansion: the bimetallic element inside interrupts the electrical circuit when the temperature reaches the set threshold, thereby protecting the appliance from overheating. Installation is not complicated — disconnect the appliance from the power outlet, replace the faulty thermostat with the new one by simply connecting the 6.3 mm spade terminals to the existing terminals, mechanically secure the component, and reassemble the appliance.
