65°C Bimetallic Thermostat for Automatic Thermal Protection
This bimetallic thermostat functions as a temperature sensor and automatic switch at 65°C, protecting electrical equipment from overheating. Compatible with household and industrial appliances, it is easily installed by direct connection to the electrical circuit. It is the professional solution for thermal safety in coffee makers, irons, heaters, and radiators.
What you get with this product
- Automatic overheating protection — interrupts power precisely at 65°C, preventing damage and accidents
- Quick installation without a specialist — direct connection via terminals, mounting with included screws
- Universal compatibility — works with coffee makers, water heaters, irons, radiators, and dispensers
- Automatic reset after cooling — resumes normal operation when the temperature drops below the trigger threshold
- Robust metal construction — withstands vibrations and humid environments, guaranteeing long-term reliability
- High switching capacity 10A — supports substantial electrical loads without degradation
How it works and how to install it
The thermostat contains a bimetallic strip that deforms at 65°C, automatically interrupting the electrical circuit. When the equipment cools below the set threshold, the strip returns to its initial position and restores power. Mounting is done by fixing with screws to the surface to be monitored, and the electrical connection is made via the two terminals — phase and neutral pass through the thermostat in series with the load. It functions as an NC (normally closed) switch until the critical temperature is reached.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be manually reset if triggered?
Not necessary — the thermostat resets automatically once the temperature drops below 65°C, without manual intervention.
Does it also work at 250V?
Yes, the thermostat supports voltages between 220V and 250V without issues, being designed with a safety margin.
Can I use the thermostat for a 2000W electric heater?
Yes, at 220V and 10A, it supports up to 2200W, so a 2000W heater is within safe operating parameters.
