60°C Bimetal Thermostat for Automatic Thermal Protection
This bimetal thermostat provides overheat protection for household appliances and industrial equipment. It is easily installed in coffee makers, water heaters, irons, electric radiators, and other devices requiring precise temperature control. Automatic coupling upon cooling below the 60°C threshold guarantees safe operation and a long equipment lifespan.
What you get with this product
- Automatic overheat protection — the system disconnects at 60°C, preventing device damage
- Quick installation via screw fastening — direct connection to the electrical circuit without complex modifications
- Universal compatibility with 220V-250V appliances — works with coffee makers, water heaters, irons, radiators
- Automatic reset upon cooling — resumes normal operation when the temperature drops, no manual intervention required
- 10A capacity — supports up to 2200W consumption, suitable for most household appliances
- Robust metal construction — resistant to wear and repeated connection-disconnection cycles
How it works and how to install it
The thermostat contains a bimetallic plate that deforms as the temperature rises. When it reaches 60°C, the plate activates the disconnection mechanism and cuts off the power supply. After natural cooling below the critical threshold, the contact automatically re-engages, and the appliance resumes operation.
Installation is done by securing it with the four holes on the surface to be controlled, followed by connecting the two electrical pins in series with the power circuit. No special tools are needed — just a screwdriver and a tester for polarity verification.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can it be manually reset if triggered?
It is not necessary. The thermostat automatically returns to normal operation when the temperature drops below 60°C.
Does it work with the standard 230V electrical grid in Romania?
Yes, it is designed for voltages between 220V and 250V, compatible with the Romanian electrical grid.
How precise is the 60°C threshold?
The tolerance is approximately plus or minus 5°C, specific to mechanical bimetallic thermostats of this type.
