190°C Bimetallic Thermostat for Reliable Thermal Protection
The 190°C bimetallic thermostat temperature sensor provides automatic overheat protection for household appliances and heating systems. A simple and reliable safety mechanism, designed for long-term operation in demanding conditions. Ideal for coffee makers, water heaters, irons, and electric heating systems.
What you get with this product
- Automatic protection at 190°C — the circuit instantly breaks when the temperature exceeds the safe threshold, preventing appliance damage
- Universal compatibility — quickly mounts on coffee makers, boilers, irons, electric radiators, and other similar devices
- Robust construction with stable mounting — metal bracket with four mounting holes ensures solid installation and efficient heat transfer
- Maintenance-free operation — bimetallic mechanism tested for thousands of cycles, with no consumable parts to replace
- Compact dimensions — easily integrates into small spaces, without major modifications to the existing appliance
How it works and how to install it
The bimetallic thermostat works by deforming a metal strip composed of two metals with different thermal expansion coefficients. Upon reaching 190°C, the strip bends and interrupts the electrical circuit. After cooling, the contact automatically re-establishes.
Installation is done by mechanical fastening to the surface to be monitored using the four holes in the metal bracket. Electrical connection is made through the side metal terminals, observing the circuit's polarity. Ensure the contact surface is clean for optimal heat transfer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it reset itself after cooling, or does it need to be manually reset?
The thermostat resets automatically after cooling below the temperature threshold, without manual intervention. The electrical contact is re-established when the bimetallic component returns to its original shape.
Can I use the thermostat at 250V instead of 220V?
Yes, the thermostat supports up to 250V according to its constructive specifications. The maximum admissible current remains 10A regardless of voltage.
How precise is the 190-degree trip temperature?
The usual tolerance for bimetallic thermostats is approximately plus or minus 5-10 degrees Celsius from the nominal value, which is normal variation for this type of mechanism.
