How it works and how to install it
The bimetallic thermostat contains a metal blade that deforms as the temperature rises. When it reaches 125°C, the blade breaks the electrical contact, stopping the appliance's power supply. After the temperature drops below the safety threshold, the contact automatically re-establishes, and the appliance can operate again.
Installation is done by fixing the thermostat with screws through the four holes of the metal bracket, directly onto the surface to be monitored. The two terminals are connected in series with the appliance's power circuit. No special tools or advanced electrical knowledge are required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the trip temperature be adjusted?
No, the thermostat is fixed at 125°C and does not allow adjustments. For other temperature thresholds, dedicated models are available.
Does the thermostat reset itself or does a button need to be pressed?
It resets automatically after cooling, without manual intervention. It does not have a reset button.
Can it be used with appliances consuming more than 10A?
It is not recommended. Exceeding the nominal current of 10A can damage the contacts and compromise the protection function.
