How it works and how to install it
The bimetal thermostat uses a metal blade that deforms when it reaches 110°C, interrupting the electrical contact. After cooling to normal temperature, the contact automatically re-establishes. Installation requires disconnecting the appliance from the mains, removing the old thermostat, and connecting the new one to the electrical terminals, observing polarity. Mounting is done by screwing it onto the surface to be controlled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the activation temperature be adjusted?
No, the thermostat is factory-calibrated to 110°C and does not allow adjustments. Specific models are required for other temperatures.
Is it resettable or does it need to be replaced after each activation?
It is automatically resettable — after cooling, the contact re-establishes, and the thermostat returns to normal function without intervention.
Can I use this thermostat at 220V if the specification mentions 250V?
Yes, 250V represents the maximum permissible voltage. The thermostat works perfectly at 220V, being dimensioned with a safety margin.
