How it works and how to install it
The Pix-Link GS08 switch connects to the router or modem via a standard UTP cable inserted into any of the 8 RJ45 ports, after which the other ports become available for the rest of the devices on the network. It does not require drivers, has no administration interface, and does not need to be configured — the process takes less than two minutes. Power is supplied via the included adapter, with a standard DC plug.

Do I need to install any drivers or configure anything before use?
No. The switch is plug-and-play — you connect it to the power source and the existing network, and the ports become active automatically without any configuration steps.
Can I connect both 100Mbps and 1000Mbps devices to the same switch?
Yes. Each port negotiates speed independently, so a 100Mbps device and a 1000Mbps device can operate simultaneously without compatibility issues.
What cable should I use to achieve 1000Mbps speed?
For Gigabit, a Cat5e or Cat6 UTP cable is recommended. With classic Cat5, the speed may be limited to 100Mbps.
