How it works and how to install it
The thermal fuse is connected in series in the power supply circuit of the electrical appliance. When the temperature reaches 110°C, the internal thermal element automatically interrupts the circuit and cuts off the power. To install, disconnect the appliance from the mains, identify the blown fuse in the electrical diagram, remove it by undoing connections or detaching it from its holders, then install the new fuse with the same connections. Soldering the terminals or using appropriate connectors is recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if the fuse has blown and needs to be replaced?
If the appliance no longer turns on at all or no longer heats up, test the fuse with a multimeter in continuity mode. A lack of continuity means the fuse has tripped and needs to be replaced.
Can I use this fuse with any 250V appliance?
Yes, if the appliance operates at a maximum of 250V AC and consumes a maximum of 10A, and its normal operating temperature does not exceed 110°C. Always check the appliance's specifications before installation.
Can the fuse be reset or does it need to be permanently replaced?
This is a non-resettable thermal fuse — once it trips at 110°C, it must be replaced with a new one. It does not reset automatically.
