How it works and how to install it
The thermal fuse monitors the internal temperature of the electrical appliance. When the temperature reaches 104°C, the internal fuse permanently disintegrates and interrupts the circuit, cutting off power. Installation is done by replacing the old fuse — unplug the appliance from the mains, identify the faulty fuse, unsolder or disconnect it, then solder or fasten the new fuse in the same position. It is a single-use component — once tripped, it must be replaced.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the fuse be reset after it has tripped?
No, it is a thermal fuse type — once tripped at 104°C, it must be completely replaced. It cannot be reset or reused.
How do I know if this fuse is compatible with my appliance?
Check the old fuse — if it is marked 250V and 10A and has a tripping temperature of 104°C, it is compatible. The dimensions (bulb 10mm, diameter 4.18mm) must be identical.
Why did the fuse in my appliance blow?
Tripping indicates that the internal temperature exceeded 104°C — possibly due to thermostat blockage, heating element failure, or lack of ventilation. Resolve the original cause before replacing the fuse.
