Bipolar DC 1000V MCB for Photovoltaic Circuits
The DC 1000V 2P / 32A MCB protects direct current circuits in photovoltaic installations against short circuits and overloads, preventing damage to inverters, cables, and other costly components. The DALBI NTS-63 model is specifically built for the high direct current voltage found in solar systems, where classic AC fuses do not provide adequate protection. Its compact DIN rail format makes it compatible with any standard photovoltaic panel.
What you get with this product
- Real 1000V DC protection — specifically calibrated for direct current, not an adaptation from AC, which means reliable tripping under solar system conditions
- Fast shutdown in case of short circuit or overload — limits the risk of fire and protects the inverter and wiring from irreversible damage
- Convenient manual disconnection — the two independent levers allow circuit isolation for maintenance interventions without additional tools
- Direct installation on 35mm DIN rail — mounts in any standard photovoltaic panel in minutes, without modifying the panel's structure
- Robust construction for harsh environments — resistant to temperature and humidity variations specific to solar installations mounted outdoors or in unheated technical spaces
- Bipolar 2P format — simultaneously interrupts both poles of the DC circuit, complying with safety requirements for photovoltaic installations
How it works and how to install it
The DC 1000V MCB is mounted on the 35mm DIN rail of the photovoltaic panel by simply sliding it into place, without additional screws for rail fixation. Input and output cables are connected to the screw terminals at the top and bottom of the device. Upon detecting a short circuit current or overload, the internal mechanism automatically trips both levers, interrupting the DC circuit; resetting is done manually after the cause is remedied.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a regular AC MCB instead of this one?
No. AC fuses are not designed to extinguish the electric arc at high direct current voltage — an AC fuse mounted on a 1000V DC circuit will not trip correctly and can cause fire or equipment destruction.
What nominal current should I choose for my solar installation?
The nominal current of the fuse should be equal to or slightly higher than the maximum current of the photovoltaic panel string (Isc of the string). For strings with an Isc of up to 25-28A, the 32A version is the most commonly used.
Is it compatible with any photovoltaic panel or inverter?
The fuse mounts on a standard 35mm DIN rail, present in practically all photovoltaic panels and distribution cabinets. It is not tied to a specific inverter brand.
