DC 1000V Bipolar MCB Fuse for Photovoltaic Circuits
The DC 1000V - 2P / 25A photovoltaic circuit MCB fuse protects the solar installation against short circuits and overloads, preventing damage to inverters, cables, and photovoltaic panels. Designed exclusively for direct current, this bipolar fuse meets the specific requirements of on-grid and off-grid photovoltaic systems. Its compact DIN rail format makes it suitable for any solar electrical panel, without taking up unnecessary space.
What you get with this product
- Real protection against short circuit and overload in the DC circuit — solar equipment remains safe from costly damage
- Rated voltage DC 1000V and breaking capacity 10000A — compatible with medium and large capacity photovoltaic installations
- Quick 35mm DIN rail mounting — no modifications to the electrical panel needed, attaches in seconds
- Bipolar 2P construction — simultaneously interrupts both poles of the DC circuit, eliminating the risk of residual arc
- Robust housing resistant to extreme temperatures and humidity — functions stably in prolonged outdoor conditions
- Visible ON/OFF status indicator — fuse status can be read at a glance, without opening the panel
How it works and how to install it
The MCB fuse works by thermal-magnetic tripping: when the rated current of 25A is exceeded or a short circuit occurs, the internal mechanism automatically interrupts the DC circuit, protecting the installation. Installation is done by simply fixing it onto the 35mm DIN rail in the photovoltaic electrical panel, followed by connecting the DC cables to the upper and lower terminals with a screwdriver. No special tools or advanced electrical knowledge are required, however, connection to the electrical installation must be carried out by an authorized electrician.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this fuse also be used for alternating current (AC)?
No. The fuse is designed exclusively for DC circuits — use on AC circuits can lead to malfunction and poses a safety risk.
How many solar panels can be connected to this 25A fuse?
The number of panels depends on the short-circuit current (Isc) of each panel and the string configuration; as a general rule, the sum of the short-circuit currents of the connected panels should not exceed 25A.
Is it compatible with standard electrical panels?
Yes, the fuse mounts on any standard 35mm DIN rail, present in almost all photovoltaic and industrial electrical panels.
