10A Bridge Rectifier with Efficient Aluminum Cooling
This 10A bridge rectifier with a maximum voltage of 1000V ensures stable conversion of AC current to DC current for electronic applications and LED lighting systems. The aluminum body provides superior thermal dissipation, extending the component's lifespan even under intensive operating conditions. Ideal for DIY projects, repairs, or electronic equipment upgrades.
What you get with this product
- Natural thermal protection — the metallic aluminum body efficiently dissipates heat without the need for forced ventilation
- Stable current for sensitive circuits — rectification up to 10A without variations that could affect the operation of LEDs or other components
- Long-term reliability — supports voltages up to 1000V, providing a safety margin for network fluctuations
- Quick mounting on PCB or chassis — standard terminals compatible with most electronic configurations
- Compact dimensions — easily integrates into small spaces, ideal for distribution boxes or custom LED drivers
- Affordable price saves project budget compared to more expensive components with similar performance
How it works and how to install it
The bridge rectifier converts the input AC current into pulsating DC current using four internal diodes configured in a Graetz bridge. You connect the terminals marked AC to the AC power source, and the positive and negative terminals deliver the resulting DC current. Installation is done by soldering onto a printed circuit board or by mechanical attachment to an additional heatsink if the application requires increased thermal dissipation. The aluminum body allows direct thermal transfer to an external heatsink.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need an additional heatsink for continuous operation at 10A?
It depends on the application. For loads up to 7-8A in continuous operation, the aluminum body is sufficient. At maximum current of 10A, we recommend an external heatsink for long-term safety.
Can it be used directly with high-power LEDs?
Yes, but you also need a smoothing capacitor and possibly a voltage stabilizer to eliminate pulsations and protect the LEDs. The bridge only provides rectification, not current regulation.
What is the difference between 1000V and lower voltages on other bridges?
The maximum voltage indicates the limit the component can withstand without damage. At 1000V, you have a large safety margin for 220V or 380V networks, reducing the risk of failure from voltage spikes in the network.
