How it works and how to install it
Installation is simple and requires no tools: before crimping the RJ45 connector, you slide the boot onto the cable with the wide end towards the free end of the wire, crimp the connector as usual, then pull the boot over the connector until it locks into place. The boot covers the junction area between the cable and the connector, reducing mechanical stress from bending and protecting the connector's locking clip.
