How it works and how to use it
The thermometer detects infrared radiation emitted by the measured surface and converts it into the displayed temperature. Point the device at the object from 30-40 cm away, press the trigger, and read the value on the LCD screen. No calibration or installation required — it works directly out of the box. The laser can be turned off if you do not wish to mark the measurement point. Emissivity is manually adjusted according to the surface type for maximum precision.
Frequently Asked Questions
How close do I need to hold the thermometer to the surface for correct measurement?
The optimal distance is 30-40 cm. You can also measure from further away, but accuracy decreases due to the larger diameter of the measured area.
Can I measure the temperature of water or food?
Yes, but only the surface temperature. For liquids and food, set the appropriate emissivity, usually between 0.90-0.95. It cannot measure internal temperature.
How do I know the displayed temperature is correct for different materials?
Adjust the emissivity in the menu according to the material: shiny metal 0.10-0.30, plastic 0.90-0.95, wood and paint 0.90-0.95. The manual includes a table with recommended values.
