How it works and how to install
The CAT 8 S/FTP RJ45 connector is mounted on the CAT 8 network cable using a standard RJ45 crimping tool (crimper), without additional special tools. Strip the cable, arrange the pairs according to the T568A or T568B scheme, insert the wires into the connector and crimp — the operation takes less than 2 minutes per end. The metallic casing is then fixed over the connector body to close the shielding.

Do these connectors work with CAT 6 or CAT 7 cable?
The connector is designed and sized for CAT 8 S/FTP cable. Use on lower category cables may result in improper wire gripping and reduced performance.
Do I need a special crimper for CAT 8 or does the usual CAT 6 one work?
A crimper compatible with CAT 8 connectors is recommended, as the diameter of CAT 8 cable is larger than that of CAT 6. A quality universal RJ45 8P8C crimper with sufficient opening works properly.
Does the metal shielding of the connector need to be grounded?
For maximum performance and interference elimination, the S/FTP shielding must be grounded at both ends of the cable, through network equipment compatible with shielded ports.
