Gold-plated Female RCA Connector for Audio-Video Connections
The Blue-Gold Female RCA Connector with spring is a female-type connector, made of metal with a gold-plated finish, designed for professional termination of RCA cables. The blue anodized aluminum body allows for quick identification of channels in an installation with multiple connectors. The included metal spring protects the cable against forced bending and extends the life of the connection.
What you get with this product
- Gold-plated contacts — increased oxidation resistance and lossless signal transmission long-term
- Integrated metal spring for cable protection at the entry point, eliminating wire breakage from repeated bending
- Blue anodized aluminum body for quick visual channel identification in complex installations
- Demountable four-component construction — allows for proper wire soldering and reassembly without special tools
- Compatible with most standard coaxial cables used in audio and video applications — TVs, audio stations, DVRs, projectors
- Available in a set of 100 pieces — reduced cost per unit for installers and AV system integrators
How it works and how to install it
The Blue-Gold Female RCA Connector with spring disassembles into four parts: a blue threaded cap, a gold-plated threaded metal sleeve, a transparent insulating tube, and the connector body with a gold-plated central pin. The coaxial cable is inserted through the cap and sleeve, the insulation is stripped, the central conductor is soldered to the connector pin and the ground to the casing, after which the parts are screwed back together in reverse order. The operation requires no special tools, only a soldering iron and a cable stripping knife.
Frequently asked questions
What cable diameter does this RCA connector accept?
The threaded sleeves and spring are sized for coaxial cables with an outer diameter of approximately 6-7 mm, specific to standard audio-video RCA cables.
Is the connector soldered or screwed on?
The electrical connection is made by soldering — the central conductor to the gold-plated pin, and the ground to the metal casing; the body is then assembled by screwing.
Can this female RCA connector be used for composite video signals or just audio?
Yes, RCA connectors are universal in format and can be used for analog audio signals, as well as for composite video signals or S/PDIF coaxial digital signals.
