RGB Mini Amplifier to Extend LED Strips Without Signal Loss
The 12V RGB LED mini amplifier with jack plug allows the extension of RGB LED strip installations beyond the normal length limit, without the color signal degrading. Compatible with 3528 and 5050 LED strips, this accessory connects directly into the power chain and picks up the RGB signal via a separate 12V power supply. It is the compact and affordable solution for ambient lighting projects in commercial or residential spaces.
What you get with this product
- Extend the length of the RGB LED strip without color loss or dimming at the end of the installation
- Direct compatibility with 3528 and 5050 LED strips — no additional adapters required
- Fast connection via standard 2.1mm DC plug — fits most existing 12V power supplies
- Ultra-compact format that saves space and can be easily hidden in aluminum profiles or behind furniture
- Supports an output power of up to 144W, sufficient for long segments of RGB strip in intensive applications
- Operates in wide thermal conditions, from -20°C to +75°C, suitable for both indoor and technical areas
How it works and how to install it
The amplifier picks up the RGB signal from the existing controller via the 4 input pins and retransmits it to the next strip segment, independently powered by a 12V power supply connected to the DC jack. Installation does not require advanced electrical knowledge: connect the input pins to the output of the existing strip, plug the power supply into the jack, and continue the strip on the output. The entire process takes a few minutes and does not involve soldering or special tools.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply for the amplifier?
Yes, the amplifier is powered independently at 12V via a 2.1mm DC jack — the main strip's power supply is not sufficient to power the extended segment as well.
Does it work with any existing RGB controller?
Yes, the amplifier is compatible with any standard RGB controller that generates a signal for 12V strips, regardless of brand or model.
How long can the strip connected after the amplifier be?
The limit is given by the maximum output power of 144W (3x4A per channel), which normally covers strip segments of 5 to 10 meters, depending on the type and density of the strip used.
