How it works and how to install
The 7W COB LED chip is powered by 21-22V DC with a current of 280-300mA via a compatible LED driver — it does not connect directly to the mains. Before mounting, apply a thin layer of thermal paste between the chip and the heatsink you are attaching to ensure proper heat transfer. Connect the positive and negative poles according to the markings on the substrate, observing the indicated polarity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a separate driver for this LED chip?
Yes, the chip requires an LED driver that supplies 21-22V DC at 280-300mA. It cannot be powered directly from 220V without a driver.
Can I use only one of the color temperatures, not both?
Yes, the two circuits are independent. You only connect the pair of contacts corresponding to the desired temperature — cool white or warm white — or both for neutral light.
Is thermal paste mandatory for installation?
It is mandatory. The 7W chip generates significant heat; without thermal paste and an adequate heatsink, its lifespan decreases dramatically and the risk of failure increases.
