How it works and how to install
The LEDs operate at 12V and have polarity — if they don't light up on the first connection, rotate the bulb 180 degrees. The IR remote communicates with the control module integrated into the bulb's capsule. For installation, remove the old bulb from the dome light or trunk, insert the new 36mm festoon LED bulb, and secure it. Then simply press the desired button on the remote to select the color or lighting effect.

Does the remote need to be held close or does it work from a distance?

What batteries does the remote use and are they included?
The remote requires 2 AAA (R3) batteries, which are not included in the package. Purchase them separately from any store.
