Professional Protection for Three-Phase Electric Motors up to 18A
The GV2-ME20C magnetic circuit motor starter provides complete overload and short-circuit protection for industrial electric motors and three-phase installations. The IP55 sealed enclosure with a rubber gasket protects components in dusty and humid environments, while the adjustable thermal protection (13-18A) prevents motor burnout in case of overload.
What you get with this product
- Double motor protection — adjustable thermal and magnetic short-circuit protection, extends equipment lifespan
- Quick DIN rail installation — screw mounting without special tools, compatible with standard electrical panels
- Resistance to harsh environments — IP55 enclosure with a sealed gasket protects against dust and water jets
- Simple thermal threshold adjustment — adjust the current between 13-18A directly on the device, without tools
- Industrial reliability — 100,000 guaranteed switching cycles, suitable for intensive use
- Extended compatibility — operates at voltages up to 690V AC and 50/60Hz frequency in accordance with IEC 60947
How it works and how to install it
The circuit breaker constantly monitors the current drawn by the motor. If it exceeds the set thermal threshold (13-18A), the thermal protection automatically trips the circuit. In case of a short circuit, the magnetic protection intervenes instantly at 223A. Mounting is done on a standard DIN rail by tightening the mounting screws, then you connect the three-phase cables to the marked terminals. You adjust the nominal current by rotating the knob on the front of the device.
Frequently Asked Questions
What motor power is this circuit breaker suitable for?
For three-phase motors up to 7.5 kW at 400V or 11 kW at 690V, depending on the absorbed current, which must not exceed 18A.
Can I use the circuit breaker outdoors or in wet environments?
Yes, the IP55 enclosure with a rubber gasket provides complete protection against dust and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for industrial environments.
How do I know what amperage to set it to for my motor?
Read the nominal current from the motor nameplate and set the circuit breaker 5-10% higher than the indicated value, within the available 13-18A range.
