How it works and how to install it
The switch mounts directly to the battery terminal using the two M8 screws included in the metal base. The positive cable of the electrical system connects to the upper terminal, and the red lever switches between the ON (closed circuit) and OFF (battery completely disconnected) positions. The key locks the lever in the desired position, preventing unauthorized tampering. Installation takes less than 15 minutes and only requires a wrench for tightening the terminals.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the switch on an RV with a solar system and inverter?
Yes, the 250A capacity is sufficient for most RV configurations, including systems with inverters up to 3000W on 12V. Check your system's peak consumption before installation.
Does the switch get hot at maximum current?
The brass contacts have very low electrical resistance, so under normal use, the temperature remains within safe limits. For sustained currents above 200A, we recommend checking the tightness of the terminals after the first few hours of operation.
How resistant is it to humidity and vibrations?
The metal casing and ABS base provide good protection against vibrations and splashing. For marine or very humid environments, applying a protective solution to the contacts extends the lifespan.
