How it works and how to install it
The KEDA 1AC-D voltage tester works by non-contact detection of the electromagnetic field generated by alternating current. Insert the 2 AAA batteries into the special compartment, remove the protective cap, and bring the tip close to the conductor or outlet you want to test. The LED and sound activate automatically in the presence of voltage between 90V and 1000V AC. It does not require direct contact with electrical conductors, which reduces the risk of electric shock.

Does it also detect DC voltage or only AC?
This model is designed exclusively for detecting AC voltage between 90V and 1000V. It does not work with DC current.
Do I need to touch the bare conductor or does it work through insulation?
The tester works by proximity detection, able to identify voltage even through thin insulation, without the need for direct contact with the bare conductor.
How often do the batteries need to be changed?
The batteries provide approximately 6 hours of continuous use. In normal professional use, with occasional checks throughout the day, the duration can be from several weeks to months.
