Motor Start Capacitor 25uF/450V for Household and Industrial Equipment
This start capacitor ensures reliable starting of electric motors in air conditioners, refrigeration compressors, water pumps, and industrial machinery. Built with a self-healing dielectric and a heat-resistant casing, it offers stable operation in extended temperature conditions and a lifespan of up to 10,000 hours at 400V.
What you get with this product
- Reliable starting of electric motors — eliminates starting failures and extends equipment lifespan
- Universal compatibility — works with compressors, fans, water pumps, lawnmowers, and other single-phase motors
- Extreme temperature resistance — operates reliably between -40°C and +85°C, ideal for outdoor installations or cold storage rooms
- Quick installation with male terminals — simple connection without soldering or special tools
- Self-healing construction — the polypropylene dielectric automatically compensates for micro-damages, maintaining performance over time
- Stable mounting included — bolt with nut for secure mounting on any metal surface or motor support
How it works and how to install it
The start capacitor stores electrical energy and releases it quickly to create the initial torque needed to start the electric motor. In single-phase equipment, it compensates for the lack of a secondary phase by creating an auxiliary magnetic field.
Installation is done by connecting the 4 male terminals to the corresponding motor terminals according to the electrical diagram of the appliance. Mounting on the motor housing or dedicated support is done with the included bolt and nut. Advanced electrical knowledge is not required, but observing the polarity and capacity specified by the motor manufacturer is mandatory.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if this capacitor is compatible with my motor?
Check the motor label for the required capacity in microfarads and the supply voltage. The capacitor must have the same capacity and a voltage equal to or greater than that indicated.
How long does a start capacitor last?
At 400V it operates up to 10,000 hours, at 450V approximately 3,000 hours, depending on the motor's starting frequency and ambient temperature.
Can I use this capacitor outdoors?
Yes, the plastic casing and extended operating temperature allow for outdoor use, however, it is recommended to place it in a protective box against direct moisture.
