63A Photovoltaic ATS Switch for continuous power supply
The ATS 125/2P 63A automatic transfer switch ensures instantaneous transition between the photovoltaic source (or batteries) and the public electrical grid, without a noticeable interruption. It is the essential solution for any residential, commercial, or industrial solar system that requires permanent and secure power. The 0.05-second switching time guarantees that connected equipment does not perceive the transition between sources.
What you get with this product
- Uninterrupted power supply — automatic switching between solar source and public grid occurs in 0.05 seconds, imperceptible to connected appliances
- Compatible with all types of renewable sources — works with photovoltaic panels, lead-acid batteries, and Li-ion batteries
- Manual control available — you can manually select the active source when you want to independently manage battery consumption
- Integrated short-circuit protection — 50kA short-circuit breaking current protects the installation and connected equipment
- Robust, CE-certified construction — 690V insulation voltage and 8kV impulse withstand voltage for long-term safety
- Suitable for industrial, residential, and agricultural applications — supports loads up to 63A on 230V single-phase networks
How it works and how to install it
The ATS continuously monitors the voltage from the two configured sources — Source A (photovoltaic or batteries) and Source B (public grid). When the priority source drops below the set threshold, the device automatically switches to the secondary source without user intervention. Installation is carried out on a standard DIN rail in the electrical panel, connecting the two input sources and the outputs to consumers — an operation recommended for a licensed electrician given the nominal current of 63A.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this ATS with an off-grid solar inverter?
Yes, the ATS 125/2P is compatible with off-grid and hybrid inverters, connecting the inverter output as Source A and the public grid as Source B for automatic switching.
What happens if both sources fail simultaneously?
In the absence of voltage on both inputs, the ATS remains in the last selected position and automatically returns to the priority source as soon as it becomes available.
Is it compatible with the 230V single-phase grid in Romania?
Yes, the nominal operating voltage is 230V AC, frequency 50/60Hz, which makes it fully compatible with the standard electrical grid in Romania.
