How it works and how to install it
The passive PoE adapter works by injecting DC power voltage onto the unused pairs of the UTP or FTP cable, thereby transmitting both data and current through a single network cable to the surveillance camera. At the power source end, you connect the injector to the DC power supply and to the network port of the DVR or NVR; at the camera end, the splitter separates the data signal from the power again. No special tools are required — the operation consists of connecting the RJ45 connectors and the 2.1mm DC plug into the corresponding ports.
