2-wire Stranded Cable AWG-23 for LED Strips, 50m
The 2-wire power cable for LED strips is a practical solution for extending or connecting monochromatic, RGB, DMX digital LED strips and any low-voltage device. With a length of 50 meters per reel, you can cover large installations without additional splices. The AWG-23 stranded conductor ensures high flexibility and low electrical resistance along its entire length.
What you get with this product
- 50 meters in a single reel — sufficient for extensive installations without intermediate splices that can cause voltage drops
- Compatible with 3528, 2835, 5050, RGB, and DMX digital LED strips — a single cable for multiple types of applications
- Flexible AWG-23 stranded conductor — easy to install in corners, cable ducts, or profiles, without risk of breakage when bent
- Flame-retardant plastic sheath — increased safety in permanent installations, including in enclosed spaces or false ceilings
- Two-color coding red/black — immediate visible polarity, correct connections without confusion and without additional tools
- Compact outer diameter of 1.8 mm per wire — visually discreet, integrates into standard LED profiles and cable ducts
How it works and how to install it
The cable consists of two individually insulated stranded conductors, joined in a common sheath, identified by different colors (red for positive, black for negative). Cut to the required length, strip the ends with a crimping tool or cutter, then connect directly to the LED strip terminals or the power supply. No special tools are needed — installation is accessible to any user who has worked with LED strips before.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this cable also work with 4-wire RGB LED strips?
Not directly — this cable only has 2 conductors, so it is suitable for monochromatic LED strips or for powering a single channel. For full RGB strips, you need a 4-wire cable.
What is the maximum current that AWG-23 cable can support?
An AWG-23 conductor (0.258 mm2) typically supports up to approximately 2-3A continuous in fixed installations. For higher currents, a cable with a larger cross-section (AWG-20 or AWG-18) is recommended.
Can it be used outdoors or only indoors?
The sheath is made of flame-retardant plastic and is not IP certified for outdoor use. It is recommended for indoor use or in protected installations; for outdoor use, the cable must be additionally protected in a sealed tube or profile.
